Bringing the two organizations together will enhance access to care for the patients in the communities where they live, especially in the rural areas where we will be offering cancer care multiple days per week.

Through the combined expertise of these organizations, patients and their families can be confident in knowing they have access to world-class, highly-specialized cancer care experts and advanced technology along their journey of care, right here in the community.

The acquisition is expected to occur on June 4, 2018.

We understand patients may have questions regarding their ongoing care. We will update this page as more information is available. Patients may also call (920) 749-1171 and speak with FVHO leadership regarding their questions.

Provider and Care Plan Questions

To existing FVHO and ThedaCare patients, we understand relationships with doctors and entire care teams are personal. This is especially true for patients and families on their journey through cancer care. We are committed to providing as seamless a transition as possible, providing continued care in your community, and considering the patient experience in every decision as we work through this agreement.

Uninterrupted care is a priority for both FVHO and ThedaCare. We are committed to providing continued care in the communities where you are now treated. Appointments are expected to remain as scheduled through June 3rd. As transition plans are finalized, we will communicate scheduling details directly with patients.

FVHO and ThedaCare are committed to providing a seamless transition for patients. This includes patient records.

Questions About FVHO Services

We know there’s more to fighting cancer than medical treatment and we are committed to enhancing access to comprehensive cancer care for our patients and their families. In an effort to streamline services and reduce total cost of care, the difficult decision was made to part ways with Health Wellness Family Care, Fox Valley Family Pharmacy, Life’s Journey Wellness and Well Within Chiropractic. These services will continue until June 3. We are grateful for their support throughout the years.

Insurance and Payment Questions

FVHO has an agreement with Network Health that will continue to provide our patients with coverage for a period of time. Network Health will inform patients by letter of the continuation of benefits.

Payments and billing until June 3 will continue to be handled by the FVHO billing department. Past due bills from FVHO will continue to be handled by FVHO. For treatment or services starting June 4, new bills will be issued by ThedaCare.

FVHO Foundation & Events Questions

The FVHO Fight Back Foundation board of directors is meeting soon to discuss the future of the Foundation. The board members will be in contact with donors in the near future once more information is gathered.

The FVHO Hope support group is one that many hold near and dear to their hearts. Because of that, every effort is being made to continue with Hope Support Group meetings. We will provide more information as it is available.

ThedaCare has long been a strong supporter of non-profit organizations throughout the Fox Cities and beyond. FVHO and ThedaCare are excited to work together to continue supporting the communities in which we live and work. We will share details as decisions are made about each individual event.
