APPLETON, Wis. (Sept. 23, 2016) – Registration for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS)’s 2016 Light The Night Walk®, in partnership with presenting sponsor Fox Valley Hematology & Oncology (FVHO), is now open.
The 2016 Light The Night Walk will take place on Friday, Oct. 14, at the Neuroscience Group Field at Fox Cities Stadium. The event aims to raise awareness and funds for those affected by blood cancer.
Participants walk a two to three mile route, using the walk bridge to cross Interstate 41, carrying illuminated lanterns to recognize supporters, celebrate survivors and remember loved ones lost.
There is no cost to register for the event, but participants are encouraged to receive pledges and raise funds to help find cures and ensure access to the best available treatments for all blood cancer patients. Participants who raise $100 will receive an official Light The Night T-shirt.
Participants can register as an individual or as a team. Should participants want to take part in the event as part of a team, individuals are given the option to create a new team or join a preassembled team.
