There are many unknowns when dealing with cancer but we are here to answer all of your questions and guide you throughout your care. We are committed to giving all of our patients the attention they need and deserve.  It is strongly encouraged that you bring a family member or close friend with you for your first appointment.

Upon your arrival for your appointment you’ll be greeted by either a volunteer or our friendly staff and registered into our computer system.  Please bring your driver’s license (or other ID) and insurance cards with you.  A member of our team will lead you through a new patient orientation, followed by a financial counselor who will verify insurance information and discuss financial support options.  You’ll then be directed to your care team’s exam room, where your physician will perform a consult, discuss testing needs and treatment options, and answer any questions. Once treatment has been agreed upon, a patient navigator will walk you through your entire treatment plan, including suggestions for additional resources.  Throughout your appointment, you will be supported by your care team, who are ready to answer all of your questions. Cancer patients face a unique set of challenges, and they find strength and support in family, friends and the entire staff at Fox Valley Hematology & Oncology.
