FVHO September Survivorship Support Group to discuss dealing with a cancer diagnosis

APPLETON, Wis. (Aug. 29 2017) – Fox Valley Hematology & Oncology (FVHO), northeast Wisconsin’s cancer care specialist, will host its monthly Survivorship Support Group meeting on Thursday, Sept. 14, from 5:30 to 7 p.m.

The meetings are for anyone affected by cancer, including families and caregivers. September’s session will be led by Angie Schneider, MA, LPC-IT, BSW, of Life’s Journey Wellness located within FVHO’s Health and Wellness Center in Appleton.

Schneider will lead a group discussion and exercise about how a cancer diagnosis can affect an entire family, how children may react to their parent or guardian’s diagnosis and how to provide the support those children need.

Survivorship Support Group meetings take place at FVHO’s Health & Wellness Center, located at 3925 N. Gateway Drive, Appleton, in hopes to connect, uplift and rebuild those who have been affected by cancer.

The Survivorship Support Group meeting is free with no advance registration is required.
