APPLETON, Wis. (Oct. 2, 2017) – Fox Valley Hematology & Oncology (FVHO), northeast Wisconsin’s cancer care specialist, will host its monthly Survivorship Support Group meeting on Thursday, Oct. 12, from 1:30 – 3 p.m. and from 5:30 – 7 p.m.
The meetings are for anyone affected by cancer, including families and caregivers. October’s session will be led by Jodi Huebner, MA, LPC and owner of Life’s Journey Wellness located within FVHO’s Health and Wellness Center in Appleton.
Huebner will lead a group discussion and exercise about how mindfulness can help patients through the cancer process, as well as after treatment is completed. The sessions will focus on developing understanding into both an informal and formal mindfulness practice and how each can help throughout the cancer journey.
Survivorship Support Group meetings take place at FVHO’s Health & Wellness Center, located at 3925 N. Gateway Drive, Appleton, in hopes to connect, uplift and rebuild those who have been affected by cancer.
The Survivorship Support Group meeting is free with no advance registration is required.
