Fox Valley Hematology & Oncology welcomes new care navigators
Appleton, Wis. – Fox Valley Hematology & Oncology is adding to its complement of healthcare services with two new patient navigators.
In their roles as patient navigators, Aerieal Schug, CSW, and Joan VanGrinsven, RN, will be responsible for identifying and easing the barriers and burdens that patients face throughout their cancer treatment.
Schug is a licensed social worker in the state of Wisconsin. She received her bachelor’s degree in social work from the University of Wisconsin – Oshkosh and is a member of the National Association of Social Work.
VanGrinsven, a certified oncology nurse, has worked as a registered nurse at FVHO since 1998. She earned her degree from Fox Valley Technical College and is a member of the National Oncology Nursing Society and the Northeast Wisconsin Oncology Nursing Society.
