Fox Valley Hematology & Oncology, Leukemia & Lymphoma Society host informational meeting for annual Light The Night Walk teams


APPLETON, Wis. (July 16, 2017)Fox Valley Hematology & Oncology (FVHO), in partnership with Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS), will host an informational lunch meeting on Wednesday, July 19, at 11:30 a.m., to discuss the annual Light The Night Walk.

The kickoff meeting will be held at FVHO’s Health & Wellness Center, located at 3925 N. Gateway Drive in Appleton, lunch will be provided, as well as networking opportunities and information on fundraising for teams.

LLS is the world’s largest health organization dedicated to funding blood cancer research. Its annual Light The Night Walk brings in nearly one million participants through more than 155 localized events throughout the United States. The Light The Night Walk brings hope and inspiration to blood cancer patients and their supporters through the symbolic lighting of lanterns to bring light to the darkness of cancer.
For the 2017 event, on Friday, Oct. 6, Neuroscience Group Field at Fox Cities Stadium will transform into a beacon of hope as participants illuminate their lanterns and begin their walk.
