APPLETON, Wis. – Fox Valley Hematology & Oncology (FVHO), northeast Wisconsin’s cancer care specialists, will host its survivorship support group meeting on Thursday, Feb. 9, from 5:30 to 7 p.m. The meetings are for anyone affected by cancer and will be led by Wisconsin Veterans Home’s Senior Music Therapist Jeanne Trombla, MSE, RMT.
The survivorship support group meetings will take place at FVHO’s Health & Wellness Center, located at 3925 N. Gateway Drive, Appleton, in hopes to connect, uplift and rebuild those who have been affected by cancer.
Trombla, a fellow cancer survivor, will discuss the benefits of music therapy and lead a group music therapy session. Trombla earned her bachelor’s degree in music therapy and her master’s degree in community counseling from the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh. She is also a certified Registered Music Therapist (RMT).
