Fox Valley Hematology & Oncology hosts survivorship support group

APPLETON, Wis.  – Fox Valley Hematology & Oncology (FVHO), northeast Wisconsin’s cancer care specialists, will host its survivorship support group meeting on Thursday, Jan. 12, from 5:30 to 7 p.m. The meetings are for anyone affected by cancer and will be led by Advanced Physical Therapy & Sports Medicine’s physical therapists Lara Bleck and Teresa Iattoni.


The survivorship support group meetings will take place at FVHO’s Health & Wellness Center, located at 3925 N. Gateway Drive, Appleton, in hopes to connect, uplift and rebuild those who have been affected by cancer.


Bleck and Iattoni will discuss the importance of exercise and healthy living. Bleck earned her Bachelor of Science in physical therapy from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and received her certification in Mechanical Diagnosis and Therapy (MDT) of the spine from the McKenzie Institute. Bleck is also certified in lymphedema management. Iattoni earned her Bachelor of Science in anatomy and physiology as well as her Master of Physical Therapy degree from Andrews University in Berrien Springs, Michigan. She is also certified as a lymphedema therapist and is a cancer exercise specialist with extensive training in breast cancer rehabilitation and myofascial release.
