Fox Valley Hematology & Oncology and Heartland Hospice Care host advance directives seminar

Appleton, Wis. (April 12, 2016) – On Saturday, April 16, 2016, Fox Valley Hematology & Oncology (FVHO), in partnership with Heartland Hospice Care, will host a free presentation and workshop to assist individuals in completing healthcare power of attorney and medical living wills. It will consist of two sessions, from 9 to 10:30 a.m. and 1 to 2:30 p.m., at FVHO’s Health & Wellness Center, located at 3925 N. Gateway Drive, Appleton, Wis.

FVHO physician Dr. Jack Swanson will be the presenting speaker for the event in support of National Healthcare Decisions Day.

“We want to help ease the process for individuals planning for their futures,” Swanson said. “There is a lot of planning and discussion that goes into the choices and preferences each person has. It is important that they can communicate those choices to their families.”
