What does the FVHO Fight Back Foundation do?

The purpose of the FVHO Fight Back Foundation, Inc. is to provide financial and educational support to cancer patients and cancer-related projects. The FVHO Fight Back Foundation is a 501(c)(3), that was formed on April 19, 2016 with the initial goal of using its funds to help patients with their care through gas cards, co-payments, hotel stay, uninsured patients, etc.

Any staff person can bring forth a need and work with a navigator to put the request into motion. Being a non-profit organization will also provide tax benefits for anyone making donations to the foundation. Any and all donations are appreciated and, there is no donation that is too small.

FVHO Ring That Bell

A key program for the FVHO Fight Back Foundation is the “FVHO Ring That Bell” annual event. As patients complete their chemotherapy or radiation treatments, they are encouraged to ring a bell in celebration. Each year on the Wednesday before the National Cancer Survivor Day (first Sunday in June), the FVHO Fight Back Foundation hosts a memorable program, and an invitation for everyone to ring a bell at noon to honor anyone going through cancer or in memory of a loved one.
